Report: Area’s residential building pipeline soars in Jan.

The value of residential construction projects in the pipeline for Central Ohio picked up the pace in January, nearly doubling from a year ago, according to new data from McGraw-Hill Construction.

The company in its monthly report said construction contracts for single- and two-family houses and apartments totaled $43.9 million in January, up from $21 million a year ago.
