The Front Door: Buyers First Impression

By Angela Murphy on January 11, 2010

Many of us rarely use our front door, so we don’t see it.  Buyers do, and it better look good and open!  I tried to show a house recently, and couldn’t get in!  The door wouldn’t open, so the buyers didn’t even get to see the house.

Make sure the hardware works and looks good!  I actually helped people buy a house we nicknamed the “great front door house”, because the door and hardware were absolutely stunning!  The door fit perfectly, looked great, and felt very high quality; it set the stage for the rest of the house.

Don’t underestimate the importance of buyers coming through your front door!
